RD service application is a service that allows you to register your device to receive biometrics. As per the UIDAI (Aadhaar India), biometric devices are registered, and the images of finger-print or iris are captured.
At Evolute, we have the Registered Device Service for our complete range of biometric devices offered. The RD service supports both the type of biometrics – Fingerprint, and IRIS.
Our RD service application helps in Aadhaar authentications / e-KYC transactions and Aadhaar based other transactions covered under Aadhaar enabled Payment systems (AePS). The RD service interfaces between Evolute Biometrics Level-0 Registered Device fingerprint and IRIS readers and customer applications.
The Registered Device Service keeps the security at the forefront and makes sure that the biometrics are captured in a secured way and passed on as required without storing any data at the device level.
These application helps in multiple ways by giving uniqueness to the devices and eliminating any data breach, which gives unique identity to each registered device and helps in the traceability of the device and allows analytics in a secured way for the device.
Further, each biometric data is captured on the device using the provided secure keys. The RD Device then forms an encrypted PID block before returning to the host application to eliminate any data breach possibilities.

Interface of RD service is simple and follows a plug-and-play concept. The user just needs to download the RD service application either from Playstore, IOS store, or from our website. Install the same in the user’s device like Mobile or Windows-based devices and connect the same with the Evolute Devices. The RD service shall then register the Evolute device and the device is ready for carrying out Aadhaar based Authentications and Transactions.
Our flagship device, UniPOS A5 is built with a managed OS. This OS is a modified Android OS, specifically for our device to support POS & biometric requirements.
Android OS is modified to handle the different features and capabilities of the UniPOS A5.
This OS is certified by PCI and EMV for usage in POS systems.
